A gorgeous portrait of a Rogers 4-6-0 steam locomotive.

Closeup of the dataplate on the same loco. Can't quite make out the serial.

A "Camelback" locomotive at a crossing along the Morris Canal in Paterson, NJ.

Closeup from the previous picture.
(See note 1)

Engine Number 92, significance unknown to me.

Closeup of the loco in the previous picture.

Best enhancement I can manage on the engineer. Anybody recognise him?

Patent model Grandpa built for a rail snowplow he designed.
Note 1: Subsequent research identifies this 2-8-0 Camelback, Delaware, Lackawanna & Western #307, as being built by Baldwin Locomotive Works in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, in 1904, as one of a batch of nine.
