Venture Class Technical Details
Deck Thirteen lies on the longitudinal centerline of the Venture's unique
beavertail aft module, and extends forward into the secondary hull structure. The
ship's matter/antimatter reactor housing is at this level, in
the second teir of Main Engineering, with the warp nacelles' plasma transfer
ducting running aft to split at the nacelle pylon junction.
The forward beavertail compartments are Engineering machinery spaces,
while the aft compartments hold slush deuterium fuel for the M/AM reactor.
Deck Thirteen's forward compartments house research laboratories,
primarily in the fields of physics and engineering as applied to
xenoarcheological investigations.
