Dornier D0 217E-5 Bomber
Monogram/Pro Modeler 1/48 Scale.

Focke Wulf Fw-190A-8
Major Walter Dahl's mount when he commanded JG300.
Eduard's superb 1/48 Scale kit built out of the box.

Focke Wulf Fw-190S Trainer
2-seat trainer for Focke Wulf pilots.
Arii 1/48 Scale kit with Falcon conversion kit X.

Focke Wulf Fw-190D-9 Fighter
A "Dora" of JV-44's airfield protection squadron, assigned to fly cover while the Me-262 jets took off and landed. The red belly was to keep their own flak gunners from killing them.
DML's 1/48 Scale Kit.

Henschel Hs-126 Reconaissance/Liaison Aircraft
Airfix's 1/72 Scale Kit.

Henschel Hs-129B2/R2 Ground Attack Aircraft
Hasegawa 1/48 Scale.

Junkers Ju-87G Stuka
The tank-busting version of the famous dive bomber.
Monogram's good ol' 1/48 kit in Superscale decals for tank ace Hans Rudel's markings.

Junkers Ju-188A-1 "Racher" (Avenger) Torpedo Bomber
DML (Dragon Models/Shanghai Dragon/etc.) 1/48 Scale.

Messerschmitt 209V1
A tiny plane with a huge engine, designed solely for a speed record attempt, it held the world piston-engined plane speed record until 1968. A second prototype was built in military marking for propaganda purposes.
Huma's 1/72 kit.

Messerschmitt Me-410B2/U2/R4 Zerstorer
Monogram/Pro Modeler's beautifully designed 1/48 scale kit.

Jets
Germany was way ahead of the curve with jet and rocket engine research. Though the US and Britain did develop jets during the war, Germany is the only country to field successful jets into combat service.

Heinkel He280V3 Prototype
Heinkel produced the world's first jet airplane designed strictly as a fighter. Though it never went into service because the RLM chose the Me-262 over the He-280, it remains a landmark aircraft.
Huma Models 1/72 Scale.

Heinkel He280V3 (again?!)
I thought it was fairly boring that they painted the plane overall 02 gray. So I painted Eduard's beautiful new 1/48 scale kit in operational markings for the 1940 period.

Arado Ar-234C
The world's first operational jet bomber and recon aircraft, which began operations a year before the end of the war.
Monogram/Pro Modeler's 1/48 issue using the basic Hasegawa 2-engined kit plus a lot of ill-fitting add-on parts. I did my best. Since it turned out rather badly, a decided to skip the real markings and put it in more colorful fictional service markings.

Messerschmitt Me-262 Schwalb (Swallow)
The world's first operational jet fighter, also in service for the last full year of the war.
A pair of 1/72 Scale Hasegawa kits.

Messerschmitt Me-262 Sturmvogel (Stormbird)
The jabo (bomber) version of the fighter.
Tamiya's nifty 1/48 kit with Kettenkraftrad tow tractor.
The pose is based upon a piece of film taken during the war.

Heinkel He-162 Sparrow (or Salamander)
The "Volkjager" (Peoples' Fighter) that was meant to be flown by quickly-trained Hitler Youth, and could barely be handled by experienced fighter pilots with breaking apart. Records are unclear, but it MAY have gotten into combat in the last weeks of the war.
Trimaster's incredible 1/48 scale kit.

Advanced Projects
Some aircraft that didn't quite make it into combat, but were nevertheless almost ready at the end of the war.

Dornier Do335B-2 "Pfiel" (Arrow)
The ultimate expression of piston-engined heavy fighters. Though it never saw operational service, the 335 was nearing production, and many had flown in test, when the war ended.
This is the "Zerstorer" (bomber destroyer) version with heavy cannon armament.
Thr gorgeous Tamiya 1/48 scale kit in conjectural markings for II/ZG.26 in defense of the Reich.

Dornier Do335A-12 "Anteater"
The 2-seat trainer version. The hump back and long nose lead to its nickname.
Here I decided to turn DML's 1/72 scale jewel into a tropicalized version. I scarfed sand filters from two Bf-109 kits, and painted the plane in JG-27 colors for North Africa.

Dornier Do335A-12
Never happy, I tried it again, only bigger.
This is Tamiya's 1/48 scale 2-seater given the same tropicalizing treatment as above.

Dornier Do335B Night Fighter
As with all projects near war's end, a night fighter version was proposed to combat Britain's night bombing capaign. There is evidence that that a prototype for this version flew.
DML's kit, with the wing guns from the B version added. I wanted to see how much crap one could stick on a wing.
